Named "Chua Ek Kay: After the Rain", this exhibition includes two of Chua's award-winning works that perfectly display his distinctive handling of traditional Chinese ink painting techniques in a modern manner -- bridging the distinctions between Chinese ink and Euro-American aesthetics.

Singapore's Minister of State Sam Tan said the Wu Guanzhong and Chua Ey Kay exhibitions will help Singaporeans better understand history as well as Singapore's unique cultural identity amidst the diversity of Southeast Asia and the world.

"The more we learn about arts, the more we learn about ourselves, and the more we learn about the world that we lived in," said Sam Tan.
