Prego (Westin Financial Street Hotel, Beijing)

Like many of the 5-star restaurants Beijing is now know for, Prego, situated in the Westin Financial Street Hotel, stands out for its hearty, beautiful, yet non-pretentious dinning fare. With the warm and inviting aromas of freshly baking breads and wood fired pizzas to the succulent prawns and fresh fish selections, a business lunch here at Prego will transport you to the Italian heartland, if only for an hour or so.

Sitting in the warm sunlight of a Beijing afternoon, enveloped by warm earth tones, scrumptious and sizeable platters of food passing by and an extremely inviting selection of grappa, it is hard for one to pull themselves away from Prego during your lunch time. The business lunch menu, with two selections for 168RMB or three selections for 198RMB, offers freshly flown in John Dory fillets, delicate monk fish and other fine ristorante dishes for you to choose from. Of course that is if you can pull yourself away from the freshly baked bread and assorted, freshly-made and secret recipe tapenades or the lightly battered calamari. Don’t forget that an Italian meal is not complete without a bit of antipasti, such as the imported Parma ham and prosciutto available at Prego.
