XINING—Traffic between Xining to quake-hit Yushu is flowing smoothly despite temperatures falling to zero centigrade mixed with snow and rain.

A China Daily journalist on scene has witnessed on Monday morning vehicles along the Xining-Yushu highway moving unaffected with relief goods continuing to pour into the area.

Currently the weather in quake ravaged Yushu is fine, according to the journalist. But local weather forecasts say the area will see snowfall in the coming days with a further drop in temperature which could affect rescue and relief efforts.
