On Aug 31, at a temporary accommodation for people affected by a mudslide in Gyirong county, Xizang autonomous region, five seventh-grade students from Kopa village in Salhe township are set to board a bus bound for their middle school about 70 kilometers away, to begin the new school year. Before their departure, villagers presented the children with hada scarves as blessings for the journey ahead.
