Shenyang sets 200 'genderless' toilets target

The government of Shenyang city in Liaoning province will introduce 200 "genderless", or family friendly, toilets in public venues for parents who accompany their children.

This will allow parents to take their children to the toilet in parks, supermarkets, subways and exhibition centers, the Shenyang Evening News reported.

The government will make sure the toilets are included in infrastructure plans, said Li Cheng, director of the equipment management division with Shenyang environment authority.
