A blacklist of dishonest debtors was released by China's top court on Tuesday.

The move is to ensure full compliance of a regulation of disclosure regarding those who ignored court verdicts. The regulation took effect on Oct 1.

The Supreme People's Court established a database, open to public access, on its official websites on Oct 24.

So far, 31,259 debtors who rejected, or refused to abide by the verdicts, have been entered into the database.

The website has been clicked on more than 180,000 times, the court said.

The court has cooperated with several banks, such as Bank of China and China Construction Bank, to share this information and prevent people on the list getting loans, the court said.

In addition, some major companies have also accessed the database to check on job applicants' credit worthiness, the court added.
