Man held for subway bomb threat

A man in Shaanxi province was detained by police for posting an online subway bomb threat, Huashang Daily reported on Friday.

The suspect, surnamed Liu, worked as a trainee in a hospital in the provincial capital Xi'an.

On Oct 30 he posted an online message saying that he wanted to put a bomb in the subway.

Xi'an police went to the hospital from where Liu posted the threat.

Liu gave himself up to police and confessed that he put the post online.

The case is under further investigation.
