Motorcycle thief shot dead in south China

NANNING - A policeman shot a motorcycle thief dead after being stabbed by the thief Wednesday in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Qin Shuda and his colleagues in Guigang city found two men trying to steal a motorcycle at about 6 p.m. Wednesday. They captured one thief and chased after the other, the Guigang municipal police department said in a statement.
Qin fired warning shots after being stabbed by the suspect. As the suspect kept assaulting, Qin shot him dead, said the statement.
Qin is now receiving treatment at hospital, it said.
