Q50 is equipped with the world's first Direct Adaptive Steering. The system uses electronics to streamline the steering mechanism for a more precise feeling behind the wheel. Over uneven roads, this moderates the need for constant, subtle adjustment, imparting a commanding feeling while helping shield the driver from excessive road vibrations.

Q50 also features a new infotainment system, INFINITI InTouch, which is the first in the segment to use two touch screens for convenient and intuitive use.

Infiniti JX is another star at the Infiniti booth. It will be renamed QX60 in March 2014 under the brand's new naming system.

The three-row, seven-seat premium SUV has a 2,900 mm long wheelbase that creates ample legroom for passengers. Its 3.5-liter V6 engine can produce peak power of 204kW and maximum torque of 334 Nm.

It is the first Infiniti model to be equipped with a continuously variable transmission, and a manual mode is also available.

The SUV comes with the option of either a two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The average fuel consumption of the two-wheel drive version is 10.7 liters every 100 km and that of the four-wheel drive model is 11.1 liters per 100 km.

The Infiniti Connection system is standard, offering convenient ways to navigate, book a trip, make an emergency call or locate the vehicle when it is stolen.

It also reminds car owners about scheduled maintenance and helps them form fuel-efficient drive habits by recording and evaluating their current driving behavior.

Other Infiniti models on show in Guangzhou include the Q60 cabriolet and Q70L executive sedan as well as the QX70 and QX80 SUVs.

Local production of two Infiniti vehicles, the long wheelbase versions of Q50 and QX50 SUV will start at the end of 2014.

The company's target is to increase annual sales in China to 100,000 units by 2018 and become one of the major players in the nation's premium car market.
