BEIJING - Inflation expectations among urban Chinese residents rose in the third quarter, according to the results of a central bank survey of 20,000 residents that was published on Sept 15.

The survey also found that residents have become more willing to save rather than invest.

A separate survey of company executives showed they expected credit conditions to remain tight in the rest of the year.
