"Whether the cutting-edge alive technology, that underpins the future of Jaguar, or the innovative designs of the Land Rover marque, we have created all these brilliant pieces of automotive engineering with our Chinese customers in mind," said Bob Grace, president of Jaguar Land Rover China.

Though a latecomer in the Chinese market, Jaguar Land Rover has surprised many people by achieving sustained healthy growth amid fierce competition.

The company partly attributes its growth to a strong "customer first" philosophy, which takes customers and achieving maximum customer satisfaction as an integral part to the way it does business.

Such a business philosophy has been the underlying driver in the company's push to continue expanding its dealership and infrastructure network.

The British automaker has been increasing its dealership coverage nationwide, mostly in lower-tier cities. By the end of October, it had over 223 authorized dealers, 130 of which are already operational.

Hefty investments are also being made to widen the Jaguar Land Rover's infrastructure network in China-to better serve customers nationwide.

This year saw the automaker open a new regional office in Guangzhou, and begin construction on a Training Academy in the same city. Jaguar Land Rover will soon begin building its fourth regional office and a Land Rover Experience Centre in Chengdu.

Social responsibility

In spite of achieving favorable results in China's premium vehicle segment, Jaguar Land Rover China has not forgotten its commitment to local Chinese communities.

It has launched various tailor-made corporate social responsibility projects, which are in line with its global CSR strategy, "Advancing Knowledge, Improving Lives", which mainly focuses on education and environment.

Jaguar Land Rover China and its dealer partner announced a joint donation of 4 million yuan to the worst-affected Ya'an area during the Sichuan province earthquake.

The donation will go towards the rebuilding of teaching facilities at a local middle school, and will benefit over 400 students.

Part of the funds will also help 20 primary schools establish "Happy Sports Classrooms".

Another CSR project implemented by the company this year is supporting a Giant Panda Research Symposium in Edinburgh.

The event gathered over 65 prestigious experts from across the world to develop a five-year plan on how giant pandas are cared for in zoos around the world and in Chinese natural reserves.

Jaguar Land Rover China has also been cooperating with Shanghai Rugby Football Club since 2012 to support the Sport for All Program, which aims to help underprivileged children enjoy playing sports and promote the importance of long-term health and physical exercise.
