China also claimed a bronze medal in the men's 49kg para powerlifting final on Monday, with Chen Liuxun finishing third.
The 34-year-old from Zhaoqing, Guangdong province, has trained in para powerlifting for nearly a decade, but the Nagoya Games marked his debut at the Asian Para Games.
Chen said he approached the competition without nervousness or psychological pressure, allowing him to concentrate on his performance.
He was already familiar with Jordan's Omar Qarada, the gold medalist, having competed against him at events in Thailand, Egypt and elsewhere. The two have faced each other repeatedly in the same weight category over the years, becoming familiar rivals on the international circuit, Chen said.
