Typhoon Saudel rainfall leaves two dead in Hunan's Guidong county

Continuous heavy rainfall recently brought by the Typhoon Saudel has caused so far two deaths and one injury in Guidong county, Chenzhou city of Hunan province, local authorities said in a report issued on Saturday night.
Since the night of Aug 28, the rain has resulted in natural disasters such as landslides and mudslides in some townships of Guidong, the report said.
Emergency response and disaster relief efforts—including the evacuation of residents, hazard inspection, road repair, sediment removal and obstacle clearance, and relocation of affected populations—are currently proceeding in an orderly manner.
