Xi urges China, Egypt to safeguard developing countries' common interests

CAIRO -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday called on China and Egypt to safeguard the common interests of developing countries and make new contributions to world peace, stability, development and prosperity.
In a written speech delivered upon his arrival in Cairo for a state visit to Egypt, Xi said that China and Egypt, both as important members of the Global South, should practice true multilateralism and jointly uphold international fairness and justice.
