Xi says China ready to deepen comprehensive strategic partnership with Egypt
CAIRO -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday that China stands ready to deepen its comprehensive strategic partnership with Egypt.
Xi made the remarks in a signed article published in Egyptian media outlets ahead of his state visit to the country.
In the article, Xi called on China and Egypt to enhance mutual trust, and set an example of carrying forward friendship, adding that the two countries should pursue mutual benefit and win-win results, and become a benchmark for joint development.
He also urged the two sides to appreciate the beauty of each civilization and set an example for exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations.
China and Egypt, he said, should move forward side by side, be pioneers in upholding fairness and justice, adding that the two countries should also stand united and work together to steer China-Arab and China-Africa cooperation.
