Li stresses agricultural modernization

Premier Li Qiang conducted an inspection tour in Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces from Monday to Wednesday.

He visited Beidahuang Group's Qixing Farm and Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Heilongjiang, as well as an agricultural cooperative and the Chagan Lake in Jilin, during his three-day tour.

During the trip, Li pointed out the need to develop large-scale modern agriculture, with an integrated approach to ensuring output and capacity, agricultural production and ecological conservation, and an increase in both yields and economic returns.

He called for taking multiple measures to secure a bountiful autumn harvest and continuously enhance the overall agricultural production capacity.
