Former China Eastern Airlines chairman prosecuted for bribery

BEIJING -- Liu Shaoyong, former chairman of China Eastern Airlines (CEA), has been indicted on bribery charges, the country's top procuratorate said on Friday.
Liu is accused of abusing multiple official posts, including his tenure as CEA chairman, to secure benefits for others and accept bribes involving money and valuables in "an exceedingly large amount."
Liu was expelled from the Communist Party of China in January this year.
