5 killed, 2 injured in early morning blaze in Chengdu

Five people were killed and two others injured after a fire broke out at a residential community in Chengdu, Sichuan province, in the early hours of Saturday, local authorities said.
The Chengdu fire and rescue department received a report at 00:49 am and dispatched crews to the scene in Shuangliu district.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze by 1:09 am. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
