Expats spellbound by Huangshan's cultural heritage
A delegation of social media influencers from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Mexico and Nigeria embarked on a tour of East China's Anhui province on April 20.
The journey began at the historic Tunxi Old Street in Huangshan, where the group explored the rich cultural tapestry of Huizhou, the ancient name for Huangshan.
Delegates Joe Burns from the UK and Oluwabunmi Jimoh from Nigeria sampled authentic Huizhou cuisine and gained firsthand insights into the ancient craftsmanship behind local treasures, including intricate lacquerwares, traditional Huizhou writing brushes, and storied She inkstones.
The duo explored the unique traditions of Xin'an medicine, a traditional Chinese medicine practice deeply rooted in the region's history.
