Haier ranks first in global sales for 17th consecutive year
Chinese home appliance giant Haier once again ranked first globally in retail sales of major appliances in 2025, according to data released by global market research firm Euromonitor International.
This marked the 17th consecutive year that the company — based in Qingdao, Shandong province — has held the top position globally.
The company began expanding overseas in 1991, initially targeting the European market. By 2016, Haier had achieved break-even across its global operations, marking a key milestone in its internationalization journey, according to the company's official website.
Haier has built a comprehensive global industrial and innovation network, with 10 major research and development centers, 71 research institutes, 35 industrial parks, and 163 manufacturing centers worldwide. Its sales and service network spans more than 200 countries and regions, serving over one billion households globally.
