The newlyweds recited their vows, pledging to settle in Fuzhou, build a future, and strive for excellence. The city officials then stamped their certificates with the character "Fu", meaning fortune, wishing them happiness and prosperity.

The event marked the 16th consecutive year of such ceremonies for newcomers to the city. This year's event attracted participants who originally came from 12 provinces, including Sichuan, Shandong, Henan, and Gansu, representing various industries.
