Diplomats take part in a unique vertical marathon in Chongqing

A unique vertical marathon at Hongyancun Station in Chongqing's Yuzhong district drew around 100 participants on Saturday, including 10 officials from consulates in Chongqing representing Belarus, the Philippines, Uruguay, Japan, Italy, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Hungary.
Hongyancun Station is the deepest metro station in China. It boasts a challenging course with 860 steps in a vertical ascent of 141 meters, equivalent to a 39-story building, according to Chongqing Urban Transportation Development Investment Group.
The competition featured men's, women's, and parent-child groups.
