Chinese president appoints new ambassadors

BEIJING -- President Xi Jinping has appointed the following ambassadors in accordance with a decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement from China's top legislature on Thursday.
Ren Hongyan was appointed ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, replacing Fang Qiu.
Chen Xufeng was appointed ambassador to Montenegro, replacing Fan Kun.
Lu Shan was appointed ambassador to Poland, replacing Sun Linjiang.
Lyu Guijun was appointed ambassador to Niger, replacing Jiang Feng.
