In August, Taicang of Jiangsu province transformed into a vibrant hub of cultural exchange as music bridged the gap between China and Germany.

The city hosted the "Sing in Taicang" 2025 Sino-German Choral Exhibition Concert for Outstanding Teams, celebrating the rich cultural ties between the two nations.

The concert highlighted Taicang's role as a model area for Sino-German cooperation and deepened the artistic connection between the countries.

The concert opened with the Berlin Women's Choir performing the Chinese folk song "Jasmine Flower" and the lively German piece "Sommerurlaub" ("Summer Vacation"), culminating with a final performance by representatives from all participating choirs singing the finale of Beethoven's "Symphony No 9" with the "Ode to Joy" excerpt. The music filled the hall, creating a shared emotional experience for artists and audience members alike.
