A total of 33,000 participants compete in the 35th Dalian Marathon in Dalian, Liaoning province, on Sunday. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The Dalian Marathon was designated as a World Athletics Elite Label event by the World Athletics and an A1 event by the Chinese Athletic Association.
