Robotics event returns to Shanghai, highlighting youth innovation

The 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition Shanghai Regional concluded at East China Normal University on March 16, bringing together nearly 1,000 young competitors from 43 teams — including three international teams. “We hope more students in Shanghai and around China will participate in robotics programs. Not just for designing and building robots, but also to spark that desire to be leaders in other careers,” says Chris Moore, CEO of FIRST.
