Hebei sends winter supplies to earthquake-hit Xizang

Aid supplies are on the way to be sent over a charter flight from Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, to the Xizang autonomous region. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

A cargo charter flight loaded with approximately 24 metric tons of supplies for the earthquake-stricken Xizang autonomous region departed from Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei province, around noon on Thursday, according to Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport.
