13 injured in explosion in Jilin province

Thirteen people were injured in an explosion in a residential community in Liaoyuan city, Jilin province on Thursday evening, according to the city's emergency management bureau.

The injured are receiving treatment at the hospital, including two with serious injuries.

At around 6:17 pm on Thursday, the city's fire rescue brigade received a report that a suspected gas explosion occurred at a store in a residential community, the bureau said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
