Staff members from the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company visited the Hujiadai Grain Cooperative Society in Shangyu district in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, recently to conduct a thorough inspection of the cooperative's electrical equipment. Using methods such as infrared temperature measurement, the staff members promptly identified and eliminated safety hazards in the electrical lines.

With the aim of enhancing awareness among farmers about safeguarding electrical equipment, they also explained to the manager of the cooperative about the protection of electrical facilities as well as electricity usage precautions. They issued reminders about the importance of paying attention to maintaining sufficient and safe distances between the harvesting machinery and electrical poles, wires and other electrical facilities to prevent personal injuries and line faults.

In March, the cooperative built a new factory and added numerous agricultural electrical devices. Subsequently, they applied to the power supply station to install a new 250 kilovolt-ampere transformer.

"The staff from the power supply company were very enthusiastic. After we made this request, they immediately came to coordinate with us on-site and handled both the initial documentation application and the installation very effectively," said Shen Yejian, head of the Hujiadai Grain Cooperative Society.
