The People's Procuratorate in Hebei province has approved the arrest of He Wenzhong, former deputy general manager of China Electronics Technology Group Corp, on suspicion of accepting bribes.
The approval was disclosed by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, China's top procuratorate, on its website on Thursday, adding that the case is under further investigation.
Public information shows that He, 54, became the deputy head of the company in May 2023.
In April, he was placed under the disciplinary and supervisory investigation. Early this month, he was expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office.
