Collection of Xi's articles on education published

BEIJING -- A collection of articles by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on education has been published ahead of the country's Teachers' Day, which falls on Sept 10.

The collection, titled "On Education," was published by Central Party Literature Press. It contains 47 articles, including some that were made public for the first time.

Xi's discourses on education are of great significance for guiding education development and the cultivation of a new generation of capable young people with sound moral grounding, intellectual ability, physical vigor, aesthetic sensibility and work skills to advance the socialist cause.
