Part of a residential building collapsed on Monday afternoon in Tongling, Anhui province, according to the local government.
The accident happened in Datong township of the city's Jiaoqu district at about 1:40 pm, said the district's emergency management bureau in a statement.
The collapsed building was five floors, and there were people missing from the accident, according to China Central Television.
