Shanghai Jing'an Half Marathon to kick off March 17

The Daning Functional Area 2024 Shanghai Jing'an Half Marathon will gun off on March 17 at the North gate of Daning Park in Jing'an district.

The event will start at 7 am and end at 10:15 am.

The race track is centered around Daning Park and extends to the Daning functional area. Participants will pass through landmarks such as Daning Music Plaza, Daning Central Plaza, Lingshi Road and Baiyiqiao Village.

The last 5 kilometers of the race will carry out on a "smart track" at Daning Park, the first of this kind in downtown area. Runners can obtain relevant data of their exercise on the track by registering at the smart device at the beginning point of the track.

On the day of the competition, Daning Park will be open to the public afternoon. Nearly 800 volunteers will assist in this event.

Since being established in 2018, the Shanghai Jing'an Half Marathon has become a signature marathon race across the city. It has been upgraded from the Jing'an Women's Half Marathon to the Jing'an Half Marathon this year.

In addition, this year's event is associated with the another two events - the 2024 Suzhou Taihu Lake Blue Queen's Classic and the 2024 Wuxi Taihu Lake Queen's Half Marathon. Participants who meet the corresponding standards in any of the three competitions will win free admission to the other two.
