Lianjiang county launches cross-Strait cultural hub in Fujian
The Taiwan Cultural and Artistic Talent Station of Lianjiang county was founded on Saturday in Fuzhou city, Fujian province. It aims to enhance youth exchanges and promote the integration and development of cross-Strait cultures.
As the nearest mainland county to Matsu Island, Lianjiang shares a close geographical proximity and familial ties with it.
"We will actively organize cross-Strait cultural and artistic exhibitions and art trips to create an academic exchange atmosphere," said Yao Xingfu, director of the station. "We will make all efforts to contribute to talent exchanges and promote cross-Strait integration and development."
In recent years, Lianjiang has hosted various cross-Strait cultural events, including music festivals and youth e-commerce live-streaming training sessions, and restarted the small-scale trade route to Taiwan.
During the unveiling ceremony, artists gathered to exchange and appreciate calligraphy and paintings, which are essential carriers of traditional culture and serve as vital links in cross-Strait cultural exchanges.
