Former senior Xizang political advisor expelled from Party
Jiang Jie, former vice-chairman of the Xizang autonomous regional Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office over severe violations of the Party discipline and the law.
The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission announced the decision in a statement on Friday, adding that Jiang's suspected crimes have also been handed over to prosecutors for further review.
According to the statement, he was found to have violated a series of Party disciplines and laws, including losing ideals and beliefs, resisting investigation, engaging in superstitious activities, trading in power, sex and money, and illegally accepting huge amounts of properties.
Jiang was placed under disciplinary and supervisory investigation in July last year.
