Rail app rolls out new features to make travel seamless

The Railway 12306 mobile app, the State-run train ticket booking platform, has introduced two new functions ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival travel rush, aiming to enhance ticket booking convenience for passengers.
One feature allows passengers to fill the necessary information such as passengers' identities, train numbers and seat preferences before the ticket booking opens. As soon as tickets become available for purchase, passengers can submit the already filled form and make the payment. Currently, train tickets can be booked up to 15 days in advance.

Another new function serves as a ticket sale reminder. Passengers can set multiple reminders through the system based on different dates and times when tickets go on sale, reducing the risk of missing the booking window and disrupting travel plans.
These two new features went online on Jan 3.

The introduction of these two new functions on Railway 12306 mobile app is expected to improve the convenience and efficiency of ticket booking. The railway authorities encourage passengers to make use of these new features and welcome feedback and suggestions to continually refine and improve the platform.
