China to step up research on future-orientated technologies

China's top industry regulator said on Wednesday that it will step up the research on future-oriented technologies, such as artificial intelligence, and push forward new industrialization.
Jin Zhuanglong, minister of industry and information technology, said in a speech in Beijing that technologies such as AI can empower China's new industrialization push, and the ministry will roll out more efforts to promote the green transformation of the country's industrial economy.
According to him, more measures will also be taken to stabilize the growth of the industrial economy and upgrade traditional sectors.
