Guizhou, Guangxi railway to connect future generations

A railway linking Guizhou province and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region began construction on Friday, according to the China State Railway Group.
The 315-kilometer line, with a design speed of 160 km/h, will link Huangtong of Guizhou and Baise of Guangxi. Upon completion, it will serve as a corridor from Northern Guizhou to the sea in Guangxi. It is expected to complete construction in five years.
The new line will connect the Shanghai-Kunming Railway and the Nanning-Kunming Railway. It will be an important part of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, passing through many residence areas reaching ethnic groups such as the Miao and Yao.
Upon completion, the line will improve regional railway networks and facilitate people's travel along the railway, promoting the development of regional economy and society.
