Hainan launches bilingual platform for aggregating regional policies
The one-stop policy of the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) inquiry platform was launched on Wednesday in South China's Hainan province.
The platform aims to be a comprehensive guide for investors, entrepreneurs, and workers coming to Hainan. It gathers policy information from various aspects, including finance and taxation, trade, investment, transportation, and employment.
The platform, like a "one-stop policy aggregation" library, uses cutting-edge AI technology to provide friendly, useful advice in Chinese and English, as well as original texts of Hainan's policies, policy interpretations, use cases, use conditions, and step-by-step guides to different procedures.
The platform also provides detailed consulting services for each policy and connections to a variety of other local government service portals (such as "Haiyiban" and "12345"), bringing a variety of services and information together in one site.
A master plan laying out the policy direction for the Hainan Free Trade Port was released on June 1, 2020. Since then, Hainan has implemented over 180 policies, including zero tariffs, low tax rates, and a simplified tax system. The FTP policy and institutional system has been established to facilitate free trade and investment, free cross-border capital flows, free and convenient transportation, and safe and orderly data flows.
