5.4-magnitude quake hits Xinjiang: CENC

BEIJING -- A 5.4-magnitude earthquake jolted the city of Artux in Kizilsu Kirgiz autonomous prefecture in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region at 2:09 am Wednesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 40.47 degrees north latitude and 77.72 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 km, said the CENC.
