National Meteorological Center renews warnings for winter season

National Meteorological Center on Monday renewed orange warning for blizzards, the second-highest level, and blue warning for cold waves, the lowest level.

Blizzards are expected in some parts of southeastern Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Heilongjiang, as well as most parts of Jilin and Liaoning provinces. Among them, some areas will see additional snow depth of 10-20 centimeters, with some areas reaching over 30 centimeters.

Cold waves will affect regions including eastern Inner Mongolia, central and southern parts of Northeast China, eastern parts of the Yellow and Huai rivers Basin, as well as eastern and southern parts of the Yangtze River Basin.

These areas are expected to experience a significant drop in temperature by 6 C to 8 C.
