Rescue underway after factory explosion in Guangxi

A factory explosion that occurred on Friday night in Pingguo city, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has killed four and injured four others, with additional two still trapped in a workshop as of 12:00 pm (at noon) on Saturday, according to a report by the State broadcaster China Central Television.
The blast happened at 9:20 pm on Friday at a company's workshop in the city's industrial park.
As of Saturday noon, eight people have been rescued from the site, four of whom are currently receiving medical treatment in a local hospital, exhibiting no signs of life-threatening conditions, while the remaining four were confirmed without vital signs, the report said.
The search for two missing individuals is still underway, with rescue teams exerting their full efforts.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident was caused by a leakage of high-temperature aluminum liquid into a cooling water pool during an aluminum bar casting process, leading to the subsequent explosion.
The rescue operation at site and further investigation are both underway.
