Chris Hardie is the chief designer of the Shanghai Library's Pudong branch. Inspired by the Taihu stone, which was favored by ancient Chinese literati, he designed the Pudong branch.
He is committed to creating a future library that embraces the concept of "from books to intersections", making it a place where people and the city come together.
In his eyes, the Pudong branch is the best gift that the city can offer to its citizens.
