Super peanuts harvested in Shandong test field

Farmers in Yaxi town of Rongcheng, Shandong province, started harvesting high-oleic peanuts on Monday in a demonstration field. Yaxi has established a breeding base for high-oleic peanuts covering more than 133 hectares. The object is to naturally substitute the nuts' linoleic acic with oleic acid, which give them a shelf life up to 10 times longer after roasting.
