Migratory birds converge on Ningxia's Sand Lake

Wild geese raced with a boat recently at Sand Lake in Shizuishan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region.
The birds sometimes skimmed over the lake's surface, emitting a series of resounding calls; at other times, they spread their wings and soared high, as if competing in a race with the speeding boat.
One netizen commented that the image showed man in harmony with nature.
Sand Lake, a major stop for migratory birds from Central Asia, provides an ideal habitat for reproduction because of its good ecology. There are about 2 million birds and around 200 species in the area.
