11 die in coal mine explosion in Shaanxi

Eleven people died in a gas explosion at a coal mine in Yan'an, Shaanxi province at around 10 pm on Monday, according to China Central Television.
Local emergency management, fire rescue, mining rescue and public security authorities rushed to the scene and rescue efforts are underway.
The coal mine was founded in 2009 and started operation in 2020. Its annual production capacity is 300,000 metric tons.
According to the Paper.cn, there were more than 80 people at the coal mine when the accident happened and more than 70 people have been rescued as of 2 pm on Tuesday.
