Chonghu wetland biodiversity making a comeback

Chonghu, a wetland in Central China's Hubei province, is on the path to regaining its biodiversity after intense efforts to remedy the environment.

Located in Gong'an county, Jingzhou city, the 14-square-kilometer wetland once suffered from heavy pollution, as many local people would raise fish there and cast a large amount of chemical fertilizer and fish feed in the water.
