Hainan resumes normal activities as Typhoon Talim tapers out

South China's Hainan province is resuming production and life in an orderly manner, as Typhoon Talim's impact on the province has gradually weakened.
The fourth typhoon this year made landfall in the coastal area of Guangdong province on Monday night.
From 5:00 on Tuesday, the suspension of most activities including schools, work and businesses in Haikou, capital of Hainan province, was ended, except for the operation of fishing boats and offshore construction vessels.

Hainan's railway corporation has organized professional and technical personnel to check and confirm the railway's operation safety, and decided to resume Hainan's round-island high-speed train services from 11:00 on Tuesday to meet the travel needs of passengers.
Haikou is expected to be cloudy with heavy rain on Tuesday, according to the Hainan provincial meteorological observatory. Haikou's flood control, drought relief and anti-typhoon headquarters still requires all districts and departments in the city to continue their efforts of prevention and emergency response to ensure the public's safety.
