5 dead, 2 missing in fireworks explosion

An explosion triggered by the illegal production of fireworks and crackers on Tuesday morning has led to five deaths and another two people missing, according to the emergency management bureau of Liling city, Hunan province on Tuesday.
The explosion occurred on a pig farm of Zhuhuashan village, Banshan township in Liling city at 4 am Tuesday, according to the statement from the bureau, adding that the people responsible for the explosion have been detained by the public security authority.
The rescue and clean-up work on site have finished and there is an ongoing search for the two missing people, it added. Other follow-up efforts are underway.
