Countries gather to discuss gibbon protection

Nearly 120 experts and scholars from 10 countries and regions including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, India and the Netherlands, as well as 15 international organizations and foundations, gathered in Haikou at the meeting to discuss a long-term mechanisms for protecting gibbons.

At the meeting, experts from China, Laos, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Indonesia and other countries carried out special reports on the current status and future plans of gibbon protection in their countries, and discussed related topics on the protection of gibbons and other primates.
